I think its a great idea to incorporate the Easter theme to help keep them focused on piano. Great ideas!Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11053699123904526858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1021546371682690150.post-44904948939244386852011-04-22T15:56:45.268-03:002011-04-22T15:56:45.268-03:00@Heidi

But that doesn't mean we can't have fun traditions, either. Great thoughts!Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11053699123904526858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1021546371682690150.post-21776599625276135682011-04-21T23:42:06.997-03:002011-04-21T23:42:06.997-03:00I enjoy bringing in seasonal items into my studio,...I enjoy bringing in seasonal items into my studio, but I'm with you in that I feel that the primary focus of the lesson should be on learning music! That being said, I know that on Saturday all my students will be thinking about their own Easter celebrations, and so I want to tap into their enthusiasm for bunnies and chocolate and extend that into their music. We'll be doing a special egg hunt where the eggs hold the names of pieces for them to play, notes for them to name, and rhythms for them to clap. I think we'll all have a lot of (educational) fun!Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04670575857855086664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1021546371682690150.post-43235432161270471712011-04-21T18:16:14.535-03:002011-04-21T18:16:14.535-03:00I wish Christian holidays were less commercialized...I wish Christian holidays were less commercialized... but I do enjoy family traditions of egg hunting the day before Easter and have fun incorporating "Easter" themed activities with my piano students as well. On Easter Sunday we try to keep to keep the focus of the day on the true meaning - Christ.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11510660290875713795noreply@blogger.com
